The Wilkerson Group was formed in July, 2001. Its purpose was and is to assist individuals and businesses recognize and reach their full financial potential. In the early years a lot of our effort was spent on getting the right staff. This was primarily because I had owned a staffing company and it was an easy transition. While having a great staff is essential to long term success, realistically, if you don’t have the right plan and finances, your staff can very efficiently and effectively take your business some place you never intended to be.
Over the years and after a lot of serious reflection on the experience I had gained in my own entrepreneurial efforts and those of close business associates, we began to spend more and more consulting time on the setup, planning and financing aspects of the business. This has been very rewarding. A well developed Business Plan promotes a solid Financial Plan. A solid Financial Plan, coupled with an effective and timely Accounting System, significantly increases the probability of owning a very successful business.
